Morning vs Evening Desert Safari – Which one is better for families?
We’re planning a family trip to Dubai next month and looking forward to booking a desert safari, but I’m confused between a morning and an evening safari. We’ll be traveling with kids (aged 7 and 11) and my parents who are both above 60. Safety, comfort, and overall experience are our top priorities.
From what I’ve read so far:
Morning Safari Pros:
Cooler weather (especially if you go early)
Less crowded
More focus on dune bashing and outdoor activities
Great for photography in natural light
Back by noon — so rest of the day is free
Evening Safari Pros:
You get the full cultural experience (BBQ dinner, belly dancing, Tanoura show)
Sunset views are stunning
Camel rides, henna painting, shisha, and live performances
More value for money if you want a full “Arabian night” experience
But I’m also worried about the heat and long evening duration being a bit tiring for kids and elders.
What do you suggest?
Which one did you choose and how was your experience?
Also, I came across this tour operator that offers both options with clear differences explained – https://roaradventuretourism.com/desert-safari-dubai/
Their family packages look quite balanced. Has anyone used them?
Would love to hear your recommendations or any tips to make the safari smoother for families. 🙏
Thanks in advance!
