Exploring Game Design: What Makes Magmic Games So Engaging?
Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes Magmic games so addictive and fun. From the level design to power-ups and difficulty curves, it seems like there’s a lot of thought put into keeping players challenged but not frustrated.
I’d love to hear from both the community and, if possible, the developers:
What are some design choices that make a level or feature feel satisfying?
How do you balance difficulty so that new players aren’t overwhelmed but veterans still feel challenged?
Are there any upcoming features or design experiments we should look forward to?
Also, if anyone has insight into how the art, sound, Geometry Dash Lite, or mechanics are developed together, that would be super interesting to discuss. It would be fun to break down what goes into making these games engaging from a design perspective!
