You never respond to disputes
You never respond to disputes.

Hello and thank you for your review,
We receive a TON of disputes and have a team of researchers carefully reviewing, researching, and resolving each one. We base our decisions on a set of criteria for accepting answers, which is primarily based on the official game rules. Here are a few reasons:
- Answers can not begin with an article: A, An or The (example: The Wizard of Oz is not okay for ""T"", but Wizard of Oz is okay for ""W"").
- Answers can not be plural, as then they are actually duplicates of other answers (example: bluebird is acceptable, but bluebirds is not).
- We cannot accept misspelled answers, as they too are duplicates of the correctly-spelled words (example: Keira Knightley is correct, Kiera Knightly is not).
- Answers can not be adjusted with, for example, a simple adjective (example: Rose is acceptable for a flower, but Pink Rose is not).
- We cannot accept short forms of existing answers (example: Nicolas Cage is correct, Nic Cage is not).
- All answers must be appropriate for an audience beginning at age 4. Any adult/mature content cannot be included.
And, of course, there are some accidental rejections that our dispute team keeps an eye out for. If something you’ve disputed is eventually disputed by another player, the dispute team will have a second opportunity to evaluate and accept (or reject) that word.
We do try to include a rejection reason when we can, but the volume of disputes we receive is high so we try to resolve as many as possible as quickly as possible.
There are a few other rules we abide by, but hopefully the above information offers some food for thought. Thanks for your feedback!

I have to dispute answers all the time!!! And what sucks is at least one other person has to dispute it too within 69 days or your dispute is trashed!

Your example for "the" is totally wrong.
I have entered The Legend Of Wooley Swamp as a country song title AND also used it without the "the" and they both work.
The official title includes "the", that is the way it is on the album label. -

Your team is so undereducated on correct answers! Science things starts with an A-Agar.
You mark it wrong! And it is absolutely correct!!! -

I have made many disputes and just joined. when will I hear back so I know I can use those answers and will you be refunding me all the coins you've taken from not accepting legitimate, correctly spelled answers? your post of the rules also contradicts game results. you say not to use adjectives but I get 12 points for red rose for "r" flower but you are not consistent. for item of clothing I get "c" cotton cardigan 12pnts every time but if it's the letter "l" and I put Lycra leggings, it's not accepted. there is no regulation of your rules or consistency. reading these comments and your response is very disheartening

I appreciate your rules on language appropriate to ages as low as 4, but you have some bad weird choices on that restricted list. the word piss is not a bad word. the word poop is not a bad word. the valid scientific name for a body part is not a bad word. A place name like hell should not be a bad word.

your example of Nic Cage versus Nicholas Cage demonstrates a problem. Many people are known as their full name and also a shortened name, sometimes primarily by their shortened name, and, again, the shortened name should be accepted if it is common. in case of both being listed in one game they would / should cancel each other out. I know this adds complication to your back end but in person with people that's how it would work in a game.

you stated here that plurals don't count but every time I play with someone and one of us plays a plural word It is counted as two separate answers. surely a plural word should be treated as a tie with the singular word unless the question is stated clearly as singular or plural?

This game is so infuriating! I love to play, but the fact that you never respond to or correct disputes is beyond ridiculous! Why have the option to post a dispute if you never intend to settle the dispute in question. I have lost so many games over good answers... for instance: REPTILE/AMPHIBIAN - answer: Pygmy Snake; result - not accepted. A Pygmy snake is a rattlesnake. Correct this problem of not fixing disputes, or take down your game as advertised. I want others to know how frustrating this is!

Like many people said, what makes my blood boil is when ridiculous answers are accepted for your opponent when obvious ones are rejected for you. I've disputed so many things, it's becoming unbelievable. Your game really has to do better. One time, I had "ants" for things in a garden, it got rejected! I'm beyond appalled. If you've never seen ants in a garden, then you've never stepped in one. Meanwhile, my opponent put "art" and got his answer accepted with no trouble (and one with a two point difference). And I agree that pretty much anything can be put in the category things you dream about or any name category. Really, anything the mind can think of is pretty much good there. And the annoying thing your system does when it changes your rightful answer for a completely different one... It's very annoying, that feature needs to go. It's not helpful. If you're saying you don't accept mispelled words, then that should not be happening in the first place. I think you should credit coins for every successful dispute because this is unfair and nonsensical.

I agree! Category “Things I Dream About” has to be the most vast broadest ever! How can a game correct, accept, know ANY answer? Scattergories shouldn’t tell me my answer doesn’t count when all I did was dream about “K” “Kids”! In fact that’s all I dreamt about for years! How can a game know of someone’s personal dreams? It doesn’t know! I was so upset my answer didn’t count for anything. When a woman who has been trying to conceive for years it consumes your life! I had “Dreams” every night of “K” for “Kids”! I feel this particular category should be eliminated. If NOT...then ANY answer should be accepted & awarded pts. If there’s not a duplicate! There’s no correct or incorrect answer to this category.

I’m going to start entering intentionally ridiculous answers to see how many this game will accept; because, that seems more fun to play than the current game.

It really ticks me off that this game has the categories “Things you dream about”, and “names with double letters”. Both of those are MY interpretations. I do not control my dreams; therefore, I can put anything in this category that I choose, so long as it begins with the given letter. Also, I spell “Fanny” just like this, but Scattergories corrected it to match my opponents spelling of “Fanney” and canceled it out. Either accept whatever is placed in those categories, or eliminate and replace with something less subjective.

Exactly! Answer disputes! I keep disputing things because I’ll very carefully type something (because the game keyboard sucks) and then at then end it says I typed something completely different (latest was I typed “lion” and then after the game it said I typed “lemon.”)

I do t like the fact that if both answers are correct you can’t dispute the other answer. I got toys that start with D... and the other person put “Dark Dog”.... what is a dark dog??? I was not given the option to dispute it and lost.

Kristen: Many people think spiders are insects. They're not. Both spiders and insects are invertebrates, but spiders are not insects.
Insects have a head, thorax and abdomen, and the thorax has three pairs of legs. They also have eyes, antennae and mouthparts. The entire body is protected by a tough outer covering called an exoskeleton. Animals that share these characteristics are called insects. The group to which they belong is called the Insecta.
Spiders have two main body parts. The body consists of a combined head and thorax called the cephalothorax, and the abdomen. The cephalothorax has the eyes, mouthparts (no antennae) and four pairs of legs. Animals that share these characteristics include ticks, mites, scorpions and spiders. This group is called the Arachnida.

Yeah I agree, if you’re going to have a question regarding dreams then all answers should be deemed correct. There are not right or wrong dreams
