Can I add my other Apple device to my current subscription?

Subscriptions are originally linked to the device they are purchased from, but can be mirrored to your other Apple mobile devices, such as the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Unfortunately this does not extend to laptops, PCs, or Macs. As well, a subscription to the PC based NYTimes.com game, or to the newspaper itself, is not the same as the subscription to this game. You must have purchased the subscription via iTunes.

If you have multiple devices, have changed devices recently, or your subscription is not displaying properly, please click the "i" button on the Subscriptions screen in-game, and fill out any required info. This will send your request to our support team where they can mirror other devices.

You people make it IMPOSSIBLE to get your product on more than one device. Why? If you won't do it willingly in a used friendly way just admit it and stop the lies.

Hi,

As explained above, it is very possible and simple to mirror your subscription. Unfortunately since it is not automatic due to limitations of the AppStore, you need to contact us & we do it manually, usually in under 24hrs. I see you did contact our support team and we asked for both your Device ID's to mirror the subscription, which you never replied to. Please reply to the support ticket with both Device ID's and then we can mirror it.

I have an iPad w/ the subscription showing as working. My new iPhone 4S won't let me sign in.

Please tell me how to re-enable the subscription on my iPhone 4S. It used to work on my iPhone 4.

Hi Richard,

Thank you for contacting us via the support forums. There were no support tickets under your email, so I created one (you have email!).

Subscriptions are tied to the specific device ID of the original device it was purchased for. When you upgraded to the 4S, it had a different device ID, which is why there was no connection of your subscription. As stated in the forums, you just need to let us know that you got another device & we can mirror it. We are exploring other options for future releases, but unfortunately at this time, this manual procedure is the only method due to limitations of the app-store and the app itself.

We apologize for any inconvenience,

I was surprised at the negative comments about subscriptions on multiple devices. I sent an email awhile ago about having the subscription on both my ipad and iphone and they got back to me right away. worked perfectly. i just got a blackberry playbook and was thrilled to see that magmic has ported the app to the playbook. great stuff!

Am I reading this post correctly? Having a subscription to the New York Times paper does not get me access to the puzzles on my mobile device? Regardless of my NYT subscription, to access on my iPad I need a separate subscription for your app?

Hi David,

Unfortunately, that is correct. Magmic's NYT Crosswords is a separate subscription service from the online or print edition of the New York Times.

For any further assistance, please create a support ticket by emailing support@magmic.com.

Thank you.

I tried emailing to get my subscription on my iPad active several times and received no response from magmic. I have just realized the problem. My default email address on my iPad is not the same as my iTunes email address. It didn't occur to me, as the subscriber number was no the email, that the system would automatically accept or reject my email based on the return email address. However, that makes total sense! I hope this helps anyone else who might be having a similar problem.

Hi Christopher,

I see you emailed us last night after business hours. This is why no one responded to you immediately.

I have replied to you in the ticket.

Thank you.
